This blog serves as the source of reflection, thoughts, resources, and media for the lab portion of OT845: Psychoemotional determinants of Occupation.
As an OT student exploring mental health, it is important to share my thoughts honestly, no matter how naive or uninformed they may be. Understand that this blog serves as a journey of knowledge and growth. The content in this blog comes from my ideas, knowledge, experiences, as well as resources that I have obtained through discussions with colleagues, social media, class content, or Google searches.
The reason I have chosen the term Explore is because I believe that this is the best way to obtain growth and new knowledge. Exploration comes with the connotation of 'the unknown', 'open-mindedness', and 'discovery'. I will be exploring both inside myself and outside myself as part of this lab assignment. I hope to gain a greater understanding of my own thoughts, feelings, and stigma that I hold, as well as examine the wider community to see what kinds of focused mental-health resources are out there.
To navigate through each lab reflection, please use the task bar located on the right side of the web page. The title of each weeks lab is indicated on the heading.
Thank you for being a part of this journey!
